University of Wisconsin- Madison Libraries. 38 5″ x 8″ cards laid in four sections in an oblong box, 21/5″ x 8.5″. Each card in color with typography and/or illustration. Box of turquoise cloth with black cloth trim, red cloth lining. Paper title label down center of top of Box. One of 60 copies for sales in a total edition of 100 copies. Fine.
All contributors signed on the verso of their cards. This project was organized by the Silver Buckle Press, a working museum of historic printing equipment held within the U.W. – Madison Libraries. Label and title sections printed at the press by Barbara Tetenbaum, Caryl Herfot & Anna Hepler. Boxes were constructed at BookLab under the direction of Priscilla Spitler. Thirty-four participants from various presses contributed cards to this portfolio, which emulates the child’s game whereby one person draws a head, another an upper torso, another the lower and a fourth person the legs.
