(Circle Press) Maxwell: Midas Touch: ‘Gold & Black’ Unique altered book by Ronald King. 1994. 9.5″ x 6″ x 2″. Front cover has cut-out hand with a heartshaped collage over an open space. A blue cord on the middle finger is attached to round gold-mottled card images to give the effect of money. Sheet blocks are painted gold and black. The back half of the book has more ‘coins’ which can be viewed through a heart-shaped opening in the palm of a hand. Back inside cover with heard shaped collages of faces. Cover painted gold, with hand shapes, circle and shaped cut-outs on both front and back covers. Back cover cut-outs are edged in blue. Fine.
