85 Beautiful Books: Catalogue 42 — Spring/Summer 2012

In assembling the 85 books in the current catalogue we have listed over 40 artists, 20 poets and authors and, in addition, the work of 34 private presses.

In this era of closing bookstores we noted with great satisfaction the New York Times story of the courageous step taken by Ann Patchett (author of the acclaimed ‘Bel Canto‘) in Nashville — after closure of virtually all brick and mortar bookshops in the city — to open Parnassus Books.

Taking inspiration from this news we have been encouraged to continue on our journey (after 27 years in the business) bringing interesting and worthwhile books to your attention. We feel sure you will pause for a moment to peruse our current offerings, helping in some small way in keeping the rare book trade alive and well in this digital age.
